This page provides information about the new features and other changes related to the Procountor interface renewal, as well as a list of upcoming functions and development areas.

If you are looking for more general information about the UI renewal (e.g., schedules, adoption of new functions), you can find it HERE.

October Update: Additions and Fixes

Release Date: October 18, 2025

New Feature Released: Ask AI Assistant. We’ve launched Ask, a conversational AI assistant available in the Procountor, designed to help you explore and understand your sales data more efficiently. Ask can answer questions, generate custom graphs, and prepare data tables directly from your sales reports. The Ask AI assistant is available in the Sales Reporting view. Read more here.

The Financing agreements view have been renewed! We have updated the Financing Agreements view with a new visual design and improved usability. The table fields and their content remain unchanged. You can edit added agreements by double-clicking a row, and status of the agreement can be changed to active/inactive directly from the Status cell. Mandatory and validated fields now include warning texts and highlight colors if the input is incorrect. You can export the table data to Excel or CSV format using the Export button.

Fixed issues:

iPhone and iPad users could not use the renewed side menu properly (only blank pages were shown). This issue has now been fixed, and users can normally navigate within the application.

September Update: Additions and Fixes

Release Date: September 20, 2025

The first version of the new Notification Center is now live!
The Notification Center is a completely new feature that gathers various events and notifications from within Procountor. Starting in September, it will include notifications about the status of file downloads when the download is large enough to be processed in the background (e.g., large PDF package downloads). In the future, the Notification Center will be expanded to display notifications related to all kinds of events in Procountor.

Favorite searches in the side menu (such as open purchase invoices, open sales invoices, open purchases, and invoices to be reviewed) are now listed in alphabetical order. The default and saved favorite searches shown in the menu have also been visually improved.

Fixed issues:

  • The user now stays on the same view after changing the interface language.

  • The browser's "Back" function now works as expected. Previously, the user might have ended up on the homepage or document search, even if that wasn’t the previous view.

August Update: Additions and Fixes

Release Date: August 16, 2025

The sidebar now includes default searches familiar from the classic Procountor (open purchase invoices, open sales invoices, open purchases, invoices to be approved), as well as your own saved searches. If you’ve saved custom searches, they’ll appear the same in both the classic and new versions. We’ll continue fine-tuning the default searches, such as their order in the sidebar.

Fixed Issues:

  • Sidemenu scaling in the Safari browser has been corrected. Before the fix, the sidemenu occasionally malfunctioned when zooming.

  • Navigating to receipts from graphical reports (sales reporting, purchase reporting) via links didn’t work properly before. This has now been fixed.

  • Firefox browser previously displayed a message when activating new views: “Allow secure.procountor.com to store data in persistent storage?” This was a standard browser notification, which has now been blocked as unnecessary.

  • Some of the issues where navigating from the front page to the search view did not work as expected have been fixed: in certain cases, an empty search view would open first. Unfortunately, the problem may still occur in specific situations, so we will continue investigating it even after the August update.

New Menus: Side Menu and Top Bar

Release Date: July 15, 2025

In the updated left-side menu, you will find all the same views in the same order as before. The new menu has received an updated visual design and new functionality, such as opening links directly in a new tab (more details below).

Navigation has been improved by enabling links to be opened in a new tab with the right mouse button, directly from the menu. Previously, opening a new tab from the top bar icon always directed the user to the homepage, so this update particularly supports users working with multiple tabs by removing extra steps to open a specific view in a new tab.

The 'Page Info' icon previously visible in the lower left corner has been removed, and all guidance and support related to Procountor usage can now be found in one place, the Support icon at the bottom of the sidebar. Most users will see the same Intercom window as before. However, if you have blocked targeted data collection in your settings, use the Storage product version, or your environment has a high data security classification, the Support icon will instead open a link to the Procountor manual and support request form.

Some functions and buttons in the top bar have changed places in the updated version. Some old buttons have been removed as unnecessary duplicates.

  • The previous separate "Home" icon has been replaced with the Procountor logo, which opens the Procountor homepage when clicked.

  • Environment selection has been moved to the left side so that users of multiple environments can easily see which environment is currently open.

  • The new top bar search field has moved to the right.

  • The new top bar icons include links to the Quick Info view, Procountor Store, and payment and delivery errors, if any occur.

  • The "Open in a new window" icon has been removed and replaced with functionality that allows users to open Procountor links in a new tab directly with the right mouse button.

  • The "Basic Information" menu behind the user icon offers the same selection of links as before, except for links to the manual and feedback form, which are now found in the sidebar Support icon. Additionally, the basic information section includes a separate area where you can activate the updated views or return to the traditional version if desired.

Menu and Navigation Development Areas

Some functions found in the old version are currently missing from the new menus. The items listed below are "known" and on our development list.

  • The top bar search field currently only supports searching Procountor views. The user's input is searched from all sidebar navigation paths and Procountor views opened through the top bar, except for the homepage. The previously available search by name and number is therefore temporarily missing from the new version.

  • The Notes (post its) icon is currently only available in the old version. Notes will likely be replaced with slightly different functionality.

  • When a search result is opened in the receipt search, and the intention is to return to the original search view, it is no longer possible to return directly via the sidebar or top bar search field, but only by closing the opened receipt views.

  • Changing the program's language currently always returns the user to the homepage.

  • Some links leading to receipt searches on the Procountor homepage may initially open empty search results. The search results will open normally on the second attempt.

Despite these deviations, we believe it is important to give our users the opportunity to explore the updated Procountor as early as possible. This way, we can gather valuable information on how the updates made so far are working and in which direction we should develop the features in the future. Thank you to everyone who has already provided feedback!

Basic Info View

Release Date: July 15, 2025

The general layout of the new Basic info view (under Management > Company info) has changed. It now consists of global actions (save and discard) and the current data is visualized and divided across tabs. The view itself has not changed in terms of data content or validation.

Global actions:

  • Save: Users can save content from all tabs at once using the new save element in the top menu.

  • Discard: A discard button has been added to allow users to discard unsaved changes easily.

New tab structure:

The view has been updated to consist of three tabs:

  • Company Information (previously named "Basic Info")

  • Contact persons

  • Contract and invoicing (previously named "Procountor Invoicing")

The data shown on each tab is equivalent to current user rights setup. The input fields in the tab that have some restrictions or validations indicate possible errors before saving to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

Request Forms:

For users who have access to the request forms, there are some notable changes: The forms that were previously available under "Contract and Product Changes" are now accessible via separate call-to-action buttons. They are available on the tabs accordingly:

Company Information Tab:

-Update accounting firm (previously named "Accounting Firm Update"): No major changes, a free text field for additional information has been added
-Create other request (previously named "Other Request"): No major changes, content remains the same as previously

Contract and invoicing Tab:

-Change product package: No major changes, content remains the same as previously
-Terminate Procountor contract (previously named "Termination of the Contract"): Termination of contract flow has been divided into four steps:

  1. Reason: The reason for termination is mandatory. Depending on the selected value, some additional fields might be displayed where user can give more information related to the selected reason. In case user doesn’t want to specify the reason for termination, they can select option ‘Other reason’.

  2. Termination: User can select the date for the termination, how the final Procountor invoice will be delivered and provide the respective invoicing address.

  3. Accounting data: User is informed about saving the accounting data and how to proceed if they want to transfer the environment to a Ledger product version. There is also a possibility to give additional information related to the termination of contract.

  4. Confirmation: After giving consent to the terms and conditions the request can be sent.

User can move back to the previous steps if needed, and any data already filled in is retained.

Navigation related changes:

Previously users, who had document management feature enabled, were able to access the Document view through the Basic info. Now the documents are available through the “Search” item in the sidebar navigation.

Browse Currency Rates View

Release Date: July 15, 2025

The new view offers the same functionalities as the old view but with a new visual look and updated content, as some outdated options have been removed from the view.

Currency type filter:
The default currency type is ‘Procountor accounting exchange rate’.
Other available options are:
Account currency average rate
Account currency buying rate
Account currency selling rate

Currency type options Cash buying rate and Cash currency sale exchange rate are no longer available, as the cash rates haven’t been provided by Nordea since 2016.

Currency filter:
No new currency codes have been added to the currency list, but some obsolete currencies have been removed from the view as they have been replaced by EUR.
The list of ‘Most common’ currencies has also been been updated: EEK is no longer available (removed from the view as obsolete) and RUB has been removed from the ‘Most common’ shortlist but is still included in the list of all currencies.

Data in the table can be sorted by any of the columns. If user wants to focus on certain rows, those can be highlighted with (ctrl/shift +) mouse left-click.
