March's version updates

Version 111.0, 14.3.2026

Payroll

  • Enable VeroAPI notifications feature flag

    • Employee tax cards can be requested automatically. In automatic request, the system fetches updated tax cards every night and updates them for the employees. Automatic request is enabled by selecting “Allow the usage of Withholding percentage request automation” in the Integration Settings of the Management > Company Info > Usage Settings and by choosing the certificate that the automatic request will use.

  • Enable pay_transparency_directive feature flag

    • Fields for Hours per week, Employment Type, and Part‑time % have been added to the Employee’s Employment details. The information is transferred to the earnings payment report once it has been filled in and the employment is selected in the Adjustments of the salary slip.

Invoicing and Payments

  • Send to debt collection -button on Payment reminder -view

    • A new Send to debt collection button has been added to the Payment Reminder view for environments without an active debt collection partner, guiding users to discover available options. Clicking the button opens a promotional pop-up, from which users can navigate to Debt collection settings to learn more about Procountor’s debt collection partners and enable them.

  • VAT breakdown for sales invoices

    • We have updated default sales invoice templates (Bank transfer & Procountor default) to include a new VAT breakdown, which categorizes invoice sum based on VAT categories.

Accounting and VAT

  • Finland: Foreign VAT updates 2026

    • New 12% VAT-rate has been added for Lithuania. You can find the new rate on Management > Accounting info > VAT processing rules view.

UI Renewals

  • New Task list view

    • As part of the Procountor's user interface renewal Task list is a new, consolidated view that shows time‑critical tasks across all Finnish customer environments user can access. The view can be accessed from the top bar (new icon) or through search and is available to users with access to multiple environments. VAT notification, VAT notification payment and EU VAT recapitulative statement tasks are currently included (more task types to come). These tasks are shown for companies that have VAT register entry defined in the Basic info view (Management > Company info > Basic info).

    • Tasks are prioritized by urgency and due date, and user can move straight from the Task list view to the correct environment and view to complete a selected task. User can filter, sort and search for tasks. There is also a possibility to define favorite companies. The lastly used filter and table settings are retained between sessions.

  • Renewal of the Bank account balance request view

    • As part of the Procountor's user interface renewal, we have renewed the Bank account balance request view. If the user has activated the new views, the renewed view replaces the previous one in the navigation menu in Payments > Bank account balance request. The new view offers the same functionalities as the old view but with a new visual look.

  • Renewal of the Personal info and settings view

    • As part of the Procountor's user interface renewal, we have renewed the Personal info and settings view with a new visual look and improved usability. Personal info and settings view can be accessed through the Basics menu in the upper right corner of the page. If the user has activated the new views, the renewed view replaces the previous one in the navigation menu.

  • Renewal of the E‑invoice and Scanning Addresses view

    • As part of the Procountor's user interface renewal, the E‑invoice and Scanning addresses view has been updated. If the user has activated the new views, the renewed view will replace the previous one in Management > Company info > E‑invoice and Scanning addresses.

The updated view includes the same core functionality as before, with the following improvements:

  • Apix and bank operators are now displayed in separate grids

    • (Previously all operators were shown in a single list.)

  • Company address validation now occurs earlier

    • The system now checks for a missing company address before creating or adding an invoicer announcement. (Previously this validation happened only at the final step.)

Please note:

  • Unlike with Apix address, changes made to Banks e‑invoice addresses and Email address for sending error notifications must be saved using the Save action at the top of the view.

  • The Supplier announcement history view is not included in this renewal.

February's version updates

Version 110.0, 14.2.2026

Payroll

  • Ability to send Incomes Register notifications when company ID is in the association format ("YHD" / "ASSN")

  • It is now possible to send Incomes Register notifications with Association company ID (format "YHD" / "ASSN")

Customer service changes

  • The customer service contact channels for Finago products are being harmonized. For Procountor, the URLs of the customer service contact form and the user manual will change.

  • Due to these URL updates, the Page info function will no longer be available in Procountor’s traditional views.

  • Please note: the contact form and the Help site will be unavailable starting 16.2.2026 at 12:00. In addition, Help links inside Procountor will not function during the update period from 14–17 February 2026.

User interface renewal

  • View conversion: Payment allocation (Phase 1)
    As part of the UI renewal, we have renewed the Payment allocation view. If user has activated the new UI features, the renewed view replaces the previous one in the navigation menu in Payments > Payment allocation. The new view offers the same functionalities as the old view but with a new visual look.

  • Convert view: Accounting info - Dimensions (Phase 1)
    As part of the UI renewal, we have renewed the Dimensions view. If user has activated the new UI features, the renewed view replaces the previous one in the navigation menu in Management > Accounting info > Dimensions. The new view offers the same functionalities as the old view but with a new visual look.

January's version updates

Version 109.0, 17.1.2026

VAT and Tax

  • User right updates to VAT configuration tool
    We changed the user rights for the VAT Configuration tool as they were too strict. The Registers 14% VAT into 13,5% part needed to have rights of course to Register but also for both Customer and Partner register. Now it is so that either one of them is required, Customer register OR Partner register.

  • Tax: Closing the tracking period in Solo environment
    We have fixed an issue where the Close tracking period pop-up did not appear when customers submitted a self-assessed tax return in Solo environments. The validation has been updated so that closing is now possible for all tracking periods that are not yet closed (including those in Pending status).

Accounting and Financial Statements

  • Management reports: Harmonization of row order
    We have corrected inconsistencies in the row order of the income statement and balance sheet in Management reports so that the rows now match the order in accounting reports. With this update, both reports will be displayed in the correct order.

  • Accounting: Visibility of attachments in archived financial statements
    We have fixed an issue where certain PDF attachments added to the financial statements appeared empty in the archived financial statement view. The system now validates PDF files during upload and export; unreadable files are blocked with an error message, ensuring that attachments are displayed correctly in the archive.

  • Bank statements and reference payments: Closing the attachment window
    We have now fixed an issue where the attachment window could prevent returning to the accounting view when the user navigated to the account list from the Bank statements and reference payments -view. The window now closes correctly when leaving the view, allowing users to return and continue editing without interruption.

Reporting and User Interface

  • Hide if zero for title rows in default report formulas
    We have improved the Hide if zero function for title rows in Default report formulas so that the title row is hidden correctly when both the title row and all sub-rows are set to be hidden with zero values. This results in clearer income statement and balance sheet reports when importing or retrieving data for financial statements. The interface also automatically synchronizes the Hide if zero setting between the title row and its sub-rows (including situations where rows are moved, added, or the hierarchy changes).

  • Personal notes in the new UI
    Improved personal notes functionality is now available for the renewed Procountor views. As new features, the text changes are saved automatically, and there is a possibility to undo/redo changes during the session. Additionally, users can organize the notes by themselves, and the notes panel remains open once opened until the user closes it, changes environment or logs out. Notes sync between the traditional and new views, so user always sees the same notes regardless of which interface is in use.

Sales Invoices and Financing

  • Finance the invoice button in sales invoice view
    We have added a new Finance the invoice button to the sales invoice view to facilitate the use of invoice financing services. The update also includes clear instructions in pop-up windows, ensuring a smooth user experience with Alisa Bank and Ropo financing options.

December's version updates

Version 108.0, 13.12.2025

Payroll and Salary user rights -

Payroll values for year 2026 have been updated
Employer and employee payment percentages, the salary type register, and values for car and accommodation benefits have been updated for 2026. New values for travel invoice will be updated 1.1.2026. Read more here: Notes for the turn of the year 2025-2026

Incomes Register: New Absence Types and corrections
A new absence type, Partial special pregnancy leave has been added to the Employee register’s Absence view and is available from January 1, 2026. Corrections have also been made to the 2025 absence types to ensure accuracy.

Independent Salary payment right and new Mark salary as paid right

New Mark Salaries as Paid right
A new user right, Mark salary as paid, has been introduced. Users granted this right can mark salary slips as paid elsewhere and can remove the Marked paid status from salary slips.

Salary Payments right now Independent from Payment Right
The Salary payments right no longer requires the general Payment right. Users with only the Salary payments right can process salary payments but cannot process other types of payments, such as union fee or distraint payments.


VAT, Tax, and Compliance

Self-Assessed Tax Return Notification Creation for Closed Tracking Periods

Users can now create and send self-assessed tax return notifications after the VAT summary has been completed and the tracking period has been manually closed, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.

Updated Income Tax Announcement Forms for 2025

Form 6A: Updated to support creation and electronic filing for Business Partnerships 6A, reflecting 2025 tax authority instructions.

Form 5: Updated for 2025 to ensure compliance with the latest requirements.

Introduction of 13.5% VAT Rate

Starting January 1, 2026, a new VAT rate of 13.5% will be available, as mandated by Finnish government regulations. This rate can be selected on invoices and will be visible in VAT defaults, foreign VAT lists, and VAT summaries. All necessary changes have been made to support this rate in self-assessed tax notifications. For Swedish environments, this VAT rate is also added to the Foreign VAT view.

VAT Configuration Tool Update

The VAT configuration tool now supports the transition from the 14% VAT rate to 13.5%, following the Finnish VAT rate reduction. This allows customers to migrate posting defaults, registers, and invoicing settings efficiently.

Updated VAT Rates for Romania

Procountor now reflects the recent changes in Romanian VAT rates. The standard VAT rate has increased from 19% to 21%, and a new rate of 11% has been introduced.


Banking and Receivables

Payday Column Added to Finago Maksuvahti View

A new Payday column has been introduced in the Finago Maksuvahti view, enabling users to immediately see the number of days a receivable has been overdue, streamlining monitoring and improving accounts receivable management.

Updated Process for Adding Alisa Bank's Prepaid Visa Card Account

The notification pop-up is now hidden for users adding the Alisa bank prepaid VISA card account, making the process smoother and less disruptive.


User Interface and Brand

Brand Identity Change in Procountor UIs

The product’s color theming, default themes, colors, logos, favicons, and text content have been updated to match the new company brand as Finago. The new brand identity is visible throughout the product and related materials.

UI Renewal: Set Up a New Environment View

The Set up a new environment view has been updated for users who have activated the new UI features, featuring a refreshed, visually appealing layout while maintaining previous functionality.

Enhanced Transparency in Sales Invoice Emails

We have improved Procountor’s invoice communication by adding clearer email messaging for sales invoices, reducing confusion and preventing duplicate payments.
For non-Direct payment invoices, BCC recipients receive separate emails marked as copies with no payment action required, while Direct payment emails to both main and BCC recipients include a notice that the amount will be automatically withdrawn on the due date.

November's version updates

Additional updates

  • November 27: When having a dimension name that contains scandic letters, importing the data failed. This has now been fixed.

Version 107.0, 15.11.2025

Automatic transfer of invoices to Ropo for debt collection

By enabling Ropo’s automatic collection service, invoices are transferred to Ropo automatically, reducing manual work. Invoices will be sent to Ropo as soon as they meet the defined conditions.

E-invoice sending errors self-service

You can now handle e-invoice sending errors directly in Procountor.

The self-service feature for e-invoice sending errors was released in two phases. Now, all e-invoice sending errors can be managed in the Sending Errors view.

Withholding percentage request for multiple Income Types
The withholding percentage request functionality has been extended to support multiple income types. You can now select which income type(s) the tax card details are retrieved. An employee may have tax cards corresponding to several different income types. Read more here.

Improvement to prevent the rejection of income tax return attachments by the tax authorities

Previously, if an attached PDF was editable or password-protected, it could be rejected without notification. To ensure your submissions are successful, our system now automatically handles these files for you.

Balance Sheet Itemisation

We've improved the way search results are displayed in the Balance Sheet Itemisation view. To ensure your reports are more accurate and reliable, the search will now display the latest date and explanation for each item within your selected period.

Accrual Tool improvements

This feature improves the performance of the Accrual Tool by consolidating invoice rows and splitting large journal entries into smaller pieces. The changes address performance bottlenecks caused by high-volume accruals and ensures a smoother experience for users handling large datasets.

Other most wanted improvements

  • Some users experienced issues when exporting large reports to Excel in the Register Dimension Reporting view. This has now been fixed, and exporting large reports to Excel works correctly.

  • We have fixed an issue that caused confusion when viewing replacement Employer's Separate Reports. Previously, after a replacement report was created and paid, the Open Amount column in Receipt Search could incorrectly display the total from the original report, The Open Amount will now correctly reflect the actual remaining balance of the replacement report. If a replacement report has been fully paid, the open amount will now correctly show as 0.00.

October's version updates

Version 106.0, 18.10.2025

E-invoice sending errors self-service

You can now handle e-invoice sending errors directly in Procountor.

When the sales invoice is sent as an e-invoice and it cannot be delivered to the recipient, a sending error is created. The users who have enough user rights to handle sales invoices are notified about a new sending error inside Procountor on the top right corner of the user interface with a red exclamation mark. Through the mark, you can check the failed sends and resend the invoice.

This same icon also notify about new payment errors that might have happened, improving transparency and speeding up error resolution. Users who have sent the sales invoice will continue to receive email notifications about delivery errors. Read more about handling sending errors here.

Reporting Self-Assessed Taxes

Due to changes in the Finnish Tax Administration’s refund process, we removed the possibility to report Value added tax and other self-assessed tax data at the same time. Read more here.

We edited Transfer of unfinished transactions -tool so that it only changes accounting receipt date and not the original invoice date.

We’ve launched Ask, a conversational AI assistant available in the Procountor, designed to help you explore and understand your sales data more efficiently. Ask can answer questions, generate custom graphs, and prepare data tables directly from your sales reports. The Ask AI assistant is available on the Sales reporting view for users who have activated the renewed Procountor interface.

September's version updates

Version 105.0, 20.9.2025

Holvi Bank connection added to Procountor

  • You can now link your Holvi bank connection directly to Procountor.

  • With the Procountor-Holvi bank connection, you can use Holvi’s payment and banking services through Procountor, and transactions from your Holvi business account will be automatically transferred to Procountor.

  • The service includes all data transfers between Holvi and the Procountor for a fixed monthly fee.

Errors in Income Register Reports now visible on Procountor’s front page

  • The Incomes register reports widget now shows a notification about new errors in Incomes register reports on the Procountor front page.

  • Notifications about new errors are displayed separately for Earnings payment reports and Employer's separate reports.

  • You can access the report page directly from the error notification, where detailed information about the error is displayed.

August's version updates

Version 104.0, 16.8.2025

Send Sales Invoices via BCC to Multiple Recipients
You can now email sales invoices (and offers, orders) to several recipients using the new BCC field.

  • All recipients receive the same message and invoice attachment.

  • BCC recipients won’t see each other’s email addresses.

  • No extra fees for sending BCC emails.

  • Max 4 additional BCC email addresses can be defined to the invoice.

  • We recommend confirming invoicing arrangements with recipients to avoid duplicate payments.

  • BCC recipients cannot currently be imported via integrations or CSV files, meaning they must be added manually to sales invoices if needed. Also, it's not yet possible to add multiple recipients in group invoicing.

Smoother Handling of Overdue Sales Invoices

  • A new “Payment Reminders and Collections” button has been added to the receipt search view.

  • This lets you transfer overdue invoices to reminder or collection services with fewer clicks.

Improvements to Automated Distraint Invoice Creation
Enhancements to the enforcement invoice process include:

  • The view opened by clicking the Employee Register > Salary Base > Distraint button shows all deducted distraints where the status of the salary slip is at least Approved. The table also shows the number of the automatically created distraint invoice.

  • A note has been added that a purchase invoice has already been created from salary slip's distraint sum if the approved salary slip is returned to the Unfinish state and there is a purchase invoice that has not been invalidated.

  • In addition to the pay date, the salary slip number from which the invoice was created has been added to the comment field of the distraint invoice.

  • A notification has been added to the distraint invoice creation if the selected authority is missing payment information from the supplier register.

Create Pension Agreements Directly from Procountor

  • We’ve added a “Create Pension Agreement” button to two views under the "Management" section: Company Info → Basic Info and Payroll Settings.

  • Clicking the button takes you directly to Varma’s site to explore and submit your insurance application.

View Late Payroll Reports More Easily

  • The Income Register Notifications widget on the homepage now shows all late payroll reports from the past 6 months—no need to select a year anymore

First Major Update to the New Procountor Interface
The new interface launched in July just got its first big update! For example: the sidebar now includes familiar favorite searches from the classic Procountor.

July's version updates

Procountor's interface is getting an upgrade

  • In this release we are enabling the new UI features for all Procountor users.

The order of financial years has been updated

  • The order of financial years has been updated so that the most recent financial year now appears at the top of the list. The selection is automatically set to the oldest open financial year, ensuring the cursor is ready on the correct period for closing tracking periods.

  • This change improves usability and speeds up workflows by making the relevant financial year immediately visible without unnecessary scrolling.

June's version updates

Additional updates

  • June 26: The error related to the decimal number in the Occupational acc. field that occurred during the creation of payroll statements has been fixed.

  • June 26: The error detected in the Bank Statements and Reference Payments view during the processing of bank statements has been corrected.

  • June 26: User right limitation: Access only invoices user can approve or verify no longer prevents the access to the sales report.

  • June 25: The program no longer gives an error message if only other self-assessed taxes are reported on the self-assessed tax return.

  • June 25: Printing PDF/ZIP packages is now successful again, even for large numbers of receipts.

Larger export files

  • Creating large PDF and ZIP files in the Receipt Search view is now more efficient and user-friendly: you can continue working on other tasks in Procountor while the file is being prepared in the background.

  • The same functionality will later be applied to other large exports as well.

Alisa Pankki has been added to the list of financing agreements

  • Alisa Pankki Oyj has been added to the financing agreement and can be used as the financing company for both Finago Kassaturva and Procountor limit.

  • Usability improvements in creating the replacement notification for tax returns

    • Users won’t need to navigate separately to the replacement notification they just created

  • Usability improvements in the register-dimension report

    • longer comparison time periods are now more fluently displayed

  • An automatic "balancing difference row" is now created to a bank statement, in case of a a rounding difference (Previously, the difference appeared only in the 'Receipt in total' section in the Receipt information of the bank statement)

  • Now it's possible to sort Sales report by name and code/number.

  • We have fixed the issue on the cash flow report where users received a notification about missing bank statement transactions, even though all bank statements were available for the requested period.
